05//04//2017

AdaptIVe joined the first European conference 'Connected and Automated Driving – Together, shaping the future' held in Brussels, Belgium on April 3rd and 4th, 2017.

Aria Etemad, Volkswagen Group Research and coordinator of AdaptIVe, along with Hristiyan Stoyanov, EICT, invited participants to a dialogue at a dedicated booth during the two days conference. AdaptIVe partner Institut für Kraftfahrzeuge, RWTH Aachen University (ika) demonstrated automated parking functions in front of Autoworld during the evening reception on April 3rd. Volvo Technology and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), both being partners in AdaptIVe, hosted a session on Human Factors.

The event organised by the European Commission and EU-funded initiatives CARTRE (→external link) and SCOUT (→external link) gave an excellent opportunity to network and to discuss on how to boost the development of connected and automated driving technologies. The four major topics transport policy, technological challenges, legal and regulatory frame, and digital transformation shaped the discussions and the dialogue.
